Trained and ready for action
The current challenge is an unexpected accelerator for digital work. We have been working successfully with our customers for many years through digital channels, platforms and tools and are well trained and positioned in networked, collaborative development. We are happy to pass on our knowledge on to you with tips for the right tool selection - no matter where your virtual office has just pitched its tent.
Our Tools
In our daily work, we make use of our diverse tool environment, but we can also easily integrate ourselves into our customer's digital ecosystem. In addition, we are happy to support you with our know-how during the commissioning of the necessary project infrastructure.
Communication & Meetings: Teams, Slack, Zoom
Microsoft Teams has become firmly established for our internal, cross-location communication. It is a convincing tool for direct and short-term exchange. From chats, video calls and meetings to joint editing of documents, everything is possible. By creating project- and topic-specific channels, even a large flow of information can be structured. For the dialogue with our customers we also rely on Slack and Skype for Business. We use the tool Zoom as a variant for online conferences and trainings. It's especially useful because of its many functions such as an integrated, digital whiteboard.
Brainstorming: Miro
We use the digital whiteboard Miro for Brainstorming. Each user sees how the other participants sketch out their ideas, concepts and flashes of inspiration in real time.
Project- & Sprint Planning:
Jira, GitLab, TeamGantt
A suitable management tool is required for every project size. TeamGantt is the right companion for fast planning and clear time management in small projects. For medium-sized projects we work with GitLab. Besides a ticket board, GitLab comes with its own Wiki and the ability to document meeting notes. If you want to ensure transparency in agile large-scale projects, we recommend using Jira. The integrated kanban board allows our team to keep track of the processing status of all tasks at all times.
Documentation: Confluence
Like Jira, Confluence is part of the Atlassian product family and a comprehensive companion for daily documentation. We use the software for tasks such as internal IT processes and quality management, among others. Confluence is also suitable for taking meeting notes and personal notes. For documentation in smaller projects we use GitLab.

Our Learnings
When a company with more than 70 employees is working from home, it is very important to maintain the overall exchange. What normally takes place during coffee, lunch or team events, now needs a digital alternative.
Via zoom, we have created a permanent meeting room, our "coffee kitchen", where every UXMA team member can log in at any time. Here we can look beyond our own project and talk to each other. Every Friday we meet here as a team and toast to the milestones achieved and the weekend. We were able to transfer our daily welcoming culture to the digital world via Microsoft teams and start each day with a virtual handshake, hoping that we can provide a little support with these small insights into our digital cooperation. At the end of the day, it's not the choice of tools that matters, but rather to stand together as a team and be there for each other.
Stay safe
