Getting moving together to do something good for your own health and support social projects at the same time - that's what the UXMA Fitness Week is all about! From June 4 to 13, 2021, all UXMA colleagues will collect fitness points together, which will then be converted into monetary donations.
Together for a good cause and for your own health
Lockdown, home office, homeschooling, thousands of calls, a lot of sitting, lack of variety - all of this has challenged us not only mentally but also physically in the past months. The pandemic has thus underscored what is clear and important to us anyway: Only if we treat both the mental and physical health of our UXMA crew with great mindfulness can we achieve peak performance and a healthy work-life balance on a daily basis. That's why our team got together and created UXMA Fitness Week!
Fitness points will be earned for every minute UXMA colleagues were active between June 4 and June 13, 2021. However, to participate in UXMA Fitness Week, you don't have to be a jock or fitness freak by any means - it's much more about getting active and exercising to maintain our health. So whether it's going for a run after work, playing in the backyard with your kids, or swinging a round of hula hoops in the living room - any kind of exercise that gets us active pays into your points account. Extra points can also be earned when our colleagues do an activity together.
In order to collect fitness points on a shared platform, our software developers created a progressive web app in a one-day hackathon. In this fitness app, our colleagues can track the type and duration of their activities. In addition, all activities and the current score can be seen in a team overview.
However, since we are not only concerned about our own health, but above all about the charitable welfare of all, the points collected will be converted into donations at the end of the UXMA Fitness Week. With these donations we would like to support selected projects from Kiel, Hamburg and Dresden.
