The Digital Learning Campus (DLC) was recognized with the prestigious "Gold" award of the German Brand Award 2023 for its outstanding brand presence. In the Education & Research category, the brand set itself apart from others with its outstanding features. Together with our client, the DLC project office at the Kiel Science Center, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Culture of the State of Schleswig-Holstein, we are very proud and pleased about this award.

German Brand Award 2023

The German Brand Award is a renowned industry award for outstanding brand management, presented annually by the German Design Council in various categories. This year, DLC received the coveted "Gold" award in the Education & Research category. The submission was judged on comprehensive criteria including differentiation, quality of branding and future direction. We are extremely pleased with this honor and the resulting increase in brand awareness for the DLC.

 

Future Skills for Schleswig-Holstein

The Digital Learning Campus is an initiative initiated by the Ministry and funded by the EU, which has undergone a comprehensive redesign. The main goal is to create collaborative learning spaces for digital and technological skills. At these learning spaces, schoolchildren, students, company employees and other citizens have the opportunity to explore exciting topics such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

The DLC consists of a digital learning and collaboration platform where individual access profiles can be created. In addition, there are a number of physical learning and collaboration locations that are networked via the platform. These locations are located at various university sites in Schleswig-Holstein, among other places.

One Brand for different Dimensions

UXMA developed the representative brand "Digital Learning Campus" in close cooperation with the client. The distinctive feature is that the brand does not only describe a physical location or a digital platform, but unifies the concept of future learning in different dimensions.

The figurative mark was specifically designed to capture the various spatial elements of the Digital Learning Campus. It combines elements of a physical cube with elements of a digital matrix, creating a multi-dimensional visual language that reflects the brand's future-oriented concept. The brand identity also includes various artifacts such as handouts that are used to inform stakeholders about the brand. Future collaborations will further shape the DLC's brand presence at various locations.
