How can a new generation of fischer cavity anchors be used to further increase efficiency and flexibility when fixing in panel building materials? The industrial design experts from UXMA came into play to answer this question. The aim of the project was to speed up and simplify the installation process even further, create even more flexible application options and ensure low-damage dismantling.

The concept

In order to support our customer quickly and effectively, we entered an open ideation phase right at the start of the project, in which we intensively examined the current generation of hollow chamber dowels and searched for new clamping principles. The resulting conceptual approaches were prepared and made available in several hypothetical overall designs. On this basis, in combination with its many years of expertise, fischer was able to develop the new DuoHM plug generation and bring it to market maturity.

Insert dowels, attach hooks

In addition to the technical product development, we were also able to support fischer-Werke with the marketing of the new product. The challenge here was to position all the innovative product features in the limited space of the packaging so that they were clearly visible. This will convince potential buyers of the higher-priced DuoHM at a highly competitive point of sale in specialist stores.
