Red Dot Award for eQ-3

Together with our customer, eQ-3 AG, we are delighted that the Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat Evo has been awarded the Red Dot Product Design Award 2021. The jury was impressed by the “minimalist and ergonomic design as well as the intuitive operating concept”, which makes the thermostat ideal for modern smart homes.

Redefining the standard

The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat Evo gives all members of a household access to smart temperature control: In addition to control via a free smartphone app, the desired temperature can be set by simply turning the thermostat head. This makes intuitive use of the learned interaction of analog products. Additional system functions such as window open detection intelligently promote a healthy indoor climate and energy-saving living. In order to achieve an optimum feel for the rotary knob, the circular cross-section tapers to a flat surface on which the set temperature and operating modes are easy to read. The thermostat blends harmoniously into the overall appearance of a modern home and redefines the standard for contemporary thermostats.
