Hako

Hako is characterized by a broad portfolio ranging from hand-guided and self-propelled indoor and outdoor cleaning machines to autonomous solutions. In order to create a high recognition value for all Hako machines, flexible design principles are required. We have adhered to the principle of “as much as necessary, as little as possible” and thus created the basis for a design that evolves with the times and new technologies.

Within the project, the close coordination between Hako and UXMA was the path to success. In broad ideation phases, solution spaces for future products were efficiently circumscribed and led to a rapid focus. Based on our technological knowledge and industry experience, we were able to integrate aspects of assembly and manufacturing principles into the resulting design concepts in addition to new design elements, thus initiating early implementation.
