UX-driven development

We want to rethink products for people and make complexity manageable.

We have 40 years of experience in user-centred product development. Our value proposition for our clients is our holistic offering and our methodical approach. UXMA stands for the creative power to create and realise new brand experiences. Our success is based on expertise and interdisciplinary teamwork.

  • You can see a colourful, interactive infographic that visualises the internal development process in a schematic representation. The graphic is divided into two areas, which are represented by loops. The various project phases are explained in text from left to right. The phases of product development are ‘Experience’, ‘Identify’, ‘Conceptualise’ and ‘Implement’. The Experiencing and Identifying activities are in the first half of the project phase, in the so-called ‘problem space’.
  • The second half of the screen, the so-called solution space, which depicts the further course of the project, contains the activities ‘Conceptualise’ and ‘Implement’.

The central recipe for success with which we put our customers ahead of the competition is our UX-driven way of working in combination with sound methodological expertise.

From the idea to implementation

We abandoned traditional process models at an early stage in favour of close, interdisciplinary collaboration between design and development in a product team. Discourse is at the centre of this. The design helps to visually support this discourse and the ongoing development and to arrive at findings more quickly. True to the motto: ‘Learn fast’. This is where the real potential lies. The best products are the result of continuous simplification and detailing as well as a customised approach.

Unnecessary iterations are eliminated if the development goal is understood by all project participants at an early stage and the jointly developed specification is available.

Three people are working on a circuit and sitting in front of a computer monitor.
Two people stand at a glass wall and methodically work out the next steps for a project.

Agility & philosophy

Our teams must be able to react quickly and creatively to changing needs and markets and develop solutions for very complex and extensive requirements. This is why the values and principles of the Agile Manifesto are an essential part of our culture and working methods:

  1. Individuals and interactions count more than processes and tools.

  2. Functioning solutions are more important than detailed documentation.

  3. Constant collaboration with the customer is more important than contracts.

  4. Courage and openness to change are more important than following a fixed plan.

Our approach, your advantage:

Rapid testing and the response to product requirements by the entire team enable solutions that are based on a valid foundation, raise fewer questions during development and, above all, are visible more quickly than in a two- or three-week cycle. When all expertise is involved and participates in the success of the product, this not only promotes team spirit, but also brings a “start-up” culture to the project. This not only suits us, but is our UXMA value proposition as a development partner: holistic product development with individual product teams.

  • Strengthening the brand through modern operating concepts and consistent design

  • More effective development and faster releases thanks to upstream design process

  • Reduced risk of developing without taking user needs into account

  • Fewer iterations thanks to early validation of concepts
