Provinzial's concept is based on regional proximity and personal consultation in order to be able to guarantee tailored offers and individual care for the insured.
This consulting process is extremely complex and can be a challenge for young consultants. In addition, it is human nature to be reluctant to deal with negative what-if scenarios as a customer and to go through different options on how to secure such cases.
UXMA was therefore commissioned to rethink the Provinzial’s ‘Schutzengelkompass’. With the complete revision of this digital helper, consulting should become simpler, leaner and more transparent for both the customer and the consultant.
It started with a comprehensive requirements analysis and a personal evaluation. The consulting process was thoroughly examined in order to reduce it to the most important steps and aspects which are valid across the board. Based on the identification of these core use cases, a consistent interaction and operating concept was developed in close cooperation with the technical experts on the insurance side. Prototypes were created in several iterations to validate and further refine the concepts.
The entire consulting process is divided into individual modules that build on each other. Both consultant and customer are guided through this process in a targeted manner and supported at each step by explanatory texts, images or basic information. Nevertheless, the advisor is still given enough freedom to carry out the consultation on an individual basis. In this way, the Schutzengelkompass grows into a tool that can be used universally and yet still follows a consulting philosophy that is geared towards individuality.
The final delivery of the design screens developed by UXMA was supplemented by a UX/UI style guide, which serves as a guide for current and future software development.
User Interface Design
Together with Provinzial, we have developed far more than conventional consulting software through our user-centered approach. The consistent operating concept creates clarity for customers and consultants alike - regardless of the degree of complexity of the respective insurance cases.
The modules of the Schutzengelkompass, as part of the consultation, are directly oriented towards the course of a customer meeting, but at the same time allow flexibility in terms of content and time. People are picked up where they are: in their personal life situation. The software's structure and choice of topics is always oriented to the customer's needs and not to the insurance products. The Schutzengelkompass is also well suited to consultation via video call in times when a physical meeting is not always possible.
